The Ru Glaze

汝窑 (Rǔ yáo) — the Ru kiln — was one of the five great kilns of the Song dynasty, prized for a sky-blue celadon so fine it was made for the court. The glaze here keeps that quiet color and its fine web of crackle (开片), which opens across the surface like ice on a pond.

The Bail-Handle Teapot

提梁壶 (tí liáng hú) — a teapot lifted by a loop that arcs over the lid, poured with a gentle two-handed tilt. The pot sits with six small cups in a line, enough for a gongfu session with friends.

• Cat (萌猫) — a round, curious cat painted on the pot and cups
